Man Arrested For Alledgely attempting to Rape a Woman

Omoniyi was allegedly arrested while attempting to rape a woman after robbing her family of valuables in valuables in their house at Idanre community, Idanre local government area.

 

According to the police, the suspect entered the apartment through the window around 1 am and collected the couples' money and other valuables. The state police public relations officer, Mrs Funmilayo Odulami said he would soon be charged to court.

She said that it was in the process of trying to rape the wife of the man that the husband summoned courage and descended on the accused with the help of neighbors and dispossessed him of his gun.

The accused mentioned the same thing and also added that he was overpowered by the men and also lost his gun as he dropped his gun while trying to rape the woman before she shouted out to her husband who came and beat him.

The accused mother, Mrs Take Akinlabi who is 55 years of age was also arrested for aiding the suspect but she denied all claims of helping him keep stolen items stating that she know him as an Okada rider not an armed robbers.
