The national president of the academic staff union of universities, Professor Emmanuel Osodeke and other members of the union had a meeting with the leadership of the house of representatives and the minister of Labour and employment, Chris Ngige earlier today.
A video capturing the moment the minister of labour and employment, Chris Ngige and the national president of the academic union of universities, professor Emmanuel Osodeke exchanged words during the meeting has surfaced on social media.
From the video, Chris Ngige accused the president of ASUU of asking the Nigerians to vote out the all progressives congress in the forthcoming general elections since the party is responsible for keeping Nigerian students at home for this so long.
In reaction to Ngige's statement, the president of ASUU denied what Ngige said. He said he never said such. The minister of labour and employment could be seen in the video working out of the meeting after taking permission from the speaker of the house of representatives.
