It is no longer news that the Academy Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) have been on strike for the past 7 months and all attempt by the government and the union to put an end to it seems to have ended in a deadlock.

However, the news reaching Nigerians is that the Federal Government is set to issue a certificate of registration to a fraction of the union known as CONUA to be the new governing body of the Nigerian universities.

In the light of the following happenings, the personal assistant to President Muhammedu Buhari Lauretta Onochie took to her verified Facebook page to express herself in that regard as she noted that this will be the last strike by University Lecturers in Nigerian

According to her, she noted that the ongoing strike by the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) is going to be the last one that will happen in the country.

Speaking further, she made it known that the incoming development is what the Nigerian students deserve so that they can be back to school to further their education. Adding that the Union was cautious about the strike but they were busy playing what she called "Obidient politics".

In conclusion, she said that the Union will not be able to hold to ransom the destiny of the younger generation again as she finally congratulate the proposed governing body.
