The Nigeria Security and Civil Defense Corps has arrested one 18-year-old Ibrahim Hashim in Lafia, Nasarawa State for allegedly defiling a 4-year-old girl (name withheld).
In a statement issued by the state's Corps Spokesperson, Jerry Victor on Tuesday said the incident occurred at Angwan Magaji area of Lafia metropolis.
The Commandant of the Corps, Mohammed Bappa, who decried the incessant cases of child molestation, rape and defilement in the area promised to take stringent major to stamp-out the menace.
Bappa said that the attention of the mother of the victim was drawn when the girl was seen crying profusely with blood stain all over her, when accosted by her mother she narrated what happened.
The NSCDC boss added that the suspect, was arrested and brought to NSCDC office for questioning and has since agreed to committing the heinous crime, and pleaded for mercy.
