Hon. Bishop Malla Ezekiel Restores Electricity, Pays Eight Months' Electricity Bills for Duduguru Community
Residents of Duduguru Community in Obi II Constituency, Obi Local Government Area of Nasarawa State have commended Hon. Bishop Malla Ezekiel following the restoration of electricity after a prolonged power outage.
Hon. Bishop Malla Ezekiel, a cleric and politician aspiring to represent Obi II Constituency in the Nasarawa State House of Assembly under the African Democratic Congress (ADC), reportedly facilitated the repair that restored power to the community after electricity had been unavailable for an extended period due to transformer-related issues.
In addition to restoring electricity, he reportedly paid the community's electricity bills covering an eight-month period, a gesture that has been widely praised by residents.
Duduguru, a predominantly Koro-speaking community in Obi Local Government Area, is regarded as one of the largest Koro communities in Obi II Constituency.
Community members described the intervention as timely and commendable, expressing appreciation for Hon. Bishop Malla Ezekiel's support in addressing the community's electricity challenges.
Residents said the restoration of power and the payment of the outstanding electricity bills have brought relief to the community after months without a stable power supply.
